I am hoping to have personalised wine glasses for all the ladies at our wedding and just wondering if anyone here has done it, what paint did they use...?

I bought what i thought was glass paint (seeing as it says it on the bottle) at a craft store, but it peels right off. I am writing on the outside of the glass and really need it to stay on - even when washed. Any ideas?

  2. The ones we have received at weddings have been etched.

  3. Use Perm Enamel paint by Delta

Here's an explanation from Michael's Crafts

  4. If you want the personalization to stay on throughout dishwashing (long-term) then I would suggest hiring a professional printer who screen prints the glasses with permant ink.

Save yourself the aggravation, they are only a few dollars per glass to have them printed.  Such as these: http://www.littlethingsfavors.com/pewigl...

  5. There is glass etching, Michaels had the equipment at one time.

go online to check it out, to see if it is something you want to do. I did it in vacation bible school years ago. Fun, my Mom kept the glass for years.

You don't have to restrict the design to a name, a design would be nice too, and if there is a theme for your wedding, like hearts for example, that would be pretty, too.
