Has anyone heard about Ashworth Universty, and there online High School Diploma?

Is it real? Is it legitimate? Is it accredited? Who can I call to find out?

According to the Better Business Bureau of Atlanta, Georgia, they have received over 605 complaints about them. Ripoff report.com contains complaints, and scamclub.com contains information from a person claiming to be a former employee who says it is a scam.

It is a combination of Ashworth College and Ashworth University High School in Norcross, Georgia. That used to be James Madison High School. I'm not sure why they changed their name, but they do hold CITA transregional accreditation according to citaschools.org. That is as good as you can get in this country. It also holds several other authentic, recognized accreditations.

Perhaps the biggest problem they have is people confusing them with Ashwood University, which holds NO accreditation and is famous for awarding a medical diploma to a dog.

Contact your State Board of Education in the area where you live.  There may be a better option such as a " FREE online public school" that doesn't charge, and provides better services.  Any online public school provides the same educational program provided by all other schools across the state, they just do it online, and they also do it for free, just the same as the others do.  Why pay, when you don't have to ?  They can tell you about "ALL" of the online educational options in your area, and are in a position to help you compare them.  They can tell you which ones have more students, which ones have higher scores on national tests, etc.  Make an informed decision that suits your needs.  An "online public school" High School Diploma will be accepted nationwide just as if you had earned it at a regular brick and mortar school, because they have to meet the same federal guidelines that other public schools do.
