that involved a chines proverb where I guess it says, if you sleep with your feet facing a doorway or towards a door, then it's bad luck or it can possibly contribute to nightmares or horrible dreams about death and murder? My boyfriend's friend at work was talking about it. We can't find much more information on the subject, so I figured I'd ask ya'll on here! :)

  1. According to Elizabeth Wiggins (feng shui expert):

"You will read lots of books stating that feet facing directly out a door represents the coffin position and the reason for this is that when people died in the home thet were carried out of the door feet first hence leading to the name - this is more based on supersitition than Traditional or Classical Feng Shui. From a Feng Shui point of view the energy coming from the doorway is stronger and therefore if you are sleeping in it’s direct path you may find you suffer from a restless nights sleep."

  8. Look under Feng Shui, (Chinese) or Vaastu Shastra (Indian).  They are rules written down in old days by wise men, and builders of homes.  They show what room should face what direction, or what activities should take place in which room or what to put in a room to ward off bad luck and to give energy to the occupants, what colors or articles should be put in the house etc.  Architecture of the ancients times used these principles to build homes.  You will find the meanings in these books.
