Has anyone heard about the age cutoff for the $600.00 from the government?

  1. I do not believe there is one. You need only file your tax return for 2007 and have made a certain of money last year. Or if you are a senior you have to do something which  I am not sure what that is. You might call a tax person if you are in this category.

If you can be claimed as a dependant on another persons tax return, then you do not qualify.  Also, you must of submitted a tax return (For people on SSI, Social Security and the like whom may not normally file... the IRS mailed form 1040A and told them to write "Stimulus Payment" across the top of the form).

    If you are the dependant.... then it's a discussion between you and your parents.... to see if they'll pass that money to you.

  3. As long as you filed a tax return for the 2007 year you get the $600.00.  The cut off is for the $300.00 per qualifying child.  That is available for children 17 and under.

  4. There is no age limit only income limit.
