I read about him in my Horse Illustrated magazine that i get every month. He was an Arabian/Shetland/Thoroughbred mix. He was euthanized after being frightened and bolted running back to the barn and slipped suffering a severe laceration to his hind leg severing his tendons and ligaments. He was a champion cross country horse.

  1. OLD news

  2. No I've only heard about barbaro

  3. Yes!! He was AMAZING! I wish I had a horse like him! It's so sad that they had to put him down!

  4. Teddy was awesome!  I watched him and Karen O'Connor in many upper level eventing shows.  He was just a pony in size, but could jump with the best of them.  He was awesome at cross country, very cute at dressage and a good show jumper too.  The pair of them did great at Rolex and I was looking forward to seeing them in the Olympics, but when I tuned in to watch it, Karen was riding another horse and the announcers said that Teddy had died!  I was very sad.  But it was fitting that Karen rode Mandiba in the olympics because Mandiba and Teddy were the best of friends!

    RIP Teddy O'Connor
