INVITATION

In 2006, Birdville School District voters passed a bond issue that included construction of a new Richland High School.  Construction began in February 2008 and the new building is scheduled to open in the fall of 2009.  The original building with the exception of the addition that was opened in 1989, will be torn down.  At the request of the current faculty and students at RHS, an alumni committee was formed and the idea of a “MEGA” reunion including all graduating classes was born.  This includes students from 1962 to the most recent Class of 2008.

  WALKING DOWN MEMORY LANE WITH FORMER RHS FACULTY

           Thursday, September 18, 2008, 6:30pm - 8:00pm, RHS Library

5201 Holiday Lane East, North Richland Hills

Please join us for one last time at the “old” Richland High School Campus for refreshments and conversation with many of the “former teachers.”  Current students will give tours of the campus and memorabilia of all the years past will be on display.

DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI HOMECOMING RECEPTION

Friday, September 19, 2008, 12:00pm – 2:00pm, RHS Library

            Each year a distinguished alumni is chosen by committee and honored at a  

reception in the RHS Library and at pre-game activities at the football game on  

Friday night.  Come meet the 2008 RHS Distinguished alumni, visit the campus and                          

meet current faculty and students. This could be one of your former classmates.  Refreshments will be served.  

           MEGA REUNION HOMECOMING PEP RALLY

Friday, September 19, 2008, 2:30pm

Join all former and current students for the Homecoming Pep Rally and introduction

of the 2008 Homecoming Court. Special recognition will be given to attending    alumni during the pep rally.  It will be a time to get “REBELED UP” for the game that evening.

REUNION PARTY WITH LIVE ENTERTAINMENT

Cotton Belt BBQ Co. 8021 Main Street, North Richland Hills (off Davis Blvd in the old Smithfield area)

There will be a MEGA PARTY for the MEGA REUNION at Cotton Belt BBQ owned by alumni of RHS.  There will be food, beverages, full bar and live music on the outdoor patio. (Weather permitting otherwise, we will be inside)

            

                            

MEGA REUNION T-SHIRT

A commemorative t-shirt has been designed for us to remember this special event.  It is a thick, white t-shirt with “REBELS THEN—REBELS NOW, 46 YEARS OF TRADITION with our past and current school flags on the front.  On the back is recognition of all 46 past graduating classes.  See order form for details.
