Has anyone heard anything about the UFC having fights in Chicago?

Next place they are getting sanctioned is Hawaii, then looking at New York in mid to late 2009...Nothing has been said about Chicago and probably nothing will anytime soon seeing how the UFC can throw events in Ohio, making people from surrounding states travel to to see a live event.

While many of the states have or were initially forced to allow the UFC to hold cards and events some have since modified their rules as far as what is accepted and allowed by their state athletic commissions.  Illinois is one such state and has outlawed the spinning back fist and the use of elbow strikes and knee strikes while on the ground.  The use of elbows while on the ground is something that the UFC allows and so it may be some time before you see any events held in Illinois for this reason.  Missouri and Indiana have also followed suit on this and so that is why you are not seeing more events being held outside of Nevada and California than what you have already seen.

I haven't heard of the UFC having fights in Chicago, but then again, I don't know if MMA is allowed or banned in Illinois.
