  1. i wouldnt bored my horse there turn out pens are so small

  2. I live in Boston but haven't heard of it.  Why don't you just go over and check it out for yourself?  You could also ask other people for their opinions about it.

  3. Wow! For barn paddock turnout only with no access to pasture that is really expensive board. But I guess that is pretty much typical in areas of the northeast where it is so densely populated. In my neck of the woods it is fairly easy to find full boarding with barn paddock access and daily pasture turnout for around $350/$400 and self boarding with barn paddock access and self pasture turnout for around $200/$250. Pasture boarding with access to run-ins and winter round bales usually ranges from $125/$150 around here and at a lot of the farms that includes grain once a day. There are so many farmers here in southern Illinois who are now supplementing their incomes by boarding horses that it puts a lot of pressure on the small-acreage boarding barn operators to compete for boarders. It wasn't that way in the distant past though but with the economy being what it is it is getting tough to keep the barn full and to supplement my income I have had to resort to listing in Nationwide Overnight Stabling Directory and offer short term day board to travelers and the long-haul horse transport operators. Though I have to turn my own horses out and a few of my boarder's horses to accommodate them, it sure helps when I get a long-haul operator in with a full trailer of horses needing layover stall rest.

  4. what a beautiful farm!! the only thing i didnt like was the turnout... unless they have more than what they showed in that pic... i wouldnt want my horse going out in a little pen like that all day. otherwise id say go for it!!

where in MA are you? im in Rehoboth =)
