Has anyone heard of any land scams in Costa RICA?

It happens here too like every where else, you here them in the news whenever something negative happens,  as long as you have a reputable Lawyer and do your due diligence , you have nothing to worry about.

I know of some expats that spread horror stories to keep others from coming here and enjoying the tropics, but they are usually the first ones to buy property here.

Be careful.  There are several proposed projects looking for invertors.  Some of them have presold condos, and after 2 years still haven't broken ground.

Before you invest you should see it with your own eyes.
