I am looking into doing a personal trainer diploma. I've searched for a good deal and found one with learning-at-home.co.uk. The course is really cheap at £450. The other home learning centre i found was £2000 for the same course! That company phoned me today and warned me away from learning-at-home.co.uk as it sounded "too cheap" to be a legit diploma. I was just wondering if anyone else out there has done this course with this company? If so was it what you expected??

  1. Neither of the diplomas will be "legit"

Before spending money on any home course you should research carefully who will recognise their qualifications.

Anyone can start up a private company and award diplomas. You or I can do that.

Is it a recognised educational qualification? If not stay awya and save your money.

  2. I agree with Katrina, they sound well iffy. If you want to be a personal trainer I'd suggest going along to local gyms and talking to the trainers to find out what courses they took and what qualifications are required to get a job.

  3. I'v never heard of them but if I were you I would steer clear of ALL these types of companies, they are not an Educational body but a business, their sole purpose is to make money and they are largely unregulated.

Go through a reputable system such as the open university.
