  2. Sounds like it would be yummy. Personally, I love the coconut/pineapple combination.   There are lots of different recipes on google for pina colada cakes, some with rum, others without.  I'm sure that you could find one you liked.

Here's the first one that google returned:

  4. Yes, I have made it before. It's really simple:

    1. Bake the cake like you normally would.

    2. Take a can of coconut milk and condensed milk. Mix ingredients.

    3. Once the cake has been baked, poke holes in it. The holes should be about 1/2 - 1 inch away.

    4. Pour the coconut mixture onto the cake until it is saturated.

    5. Refrigerate for 24+ hours. If you do refrigerate, the cake will be somewhat soggy.

The coconut mixture is also great for popsicles. Take some dixie cups and popsicle sticks. Pour the mixture into the dixie cup and place sticks perpendicular to the cup. Place in freezer. If you want, buy popsicle holders.

Pina Colada mix also makes a great substitute for the coconut + condensed milk. It is also a healthier substitute.

  5. 1 cake mix

    1 can Pina Colada mix

2 boxes instant coconut pudding (use one in icing)

    4 eggs

    1/2 c. water

    1/3 c. rum

Combine cake mix, 1 box instant coconut pudding mix, eggs, water, and rum and mix together. Beat 4 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool in pan. Remove and punch holes in warm cake. Pour Pina Colada mix over cake. Frost both layers with:

    8 oz. can crushed pineapple

    1 box instant coconut pudding

    1/3 c. rum

    12 oz. Cool Whip

Mix above well. Spread on both layers. Sprinkle each frosted layer with angel flake coconut. Make night before. Refrigerate
