Stratford Career Institute? Is it a good school?

From the other answers I found out that this school isn't accredited. But just to let you know Penn Foster Career School is. They also have a High School Diploma program, if that's what you're looking for. I went through it for Pharmacy Technician certificate. They were great!! A little bit through my course they also offered me a deal to knock almost 100 dollars off the tuition price, has low monthly payments if you can't make the full price up front. Like anything else, it depends on your goal. As it happens, my sister in Canada has used some of the courses as part of qualifying to keep her job. She was directed to Stratford by her employer. One thing to bear in mind, though, is that Canada has a much stronger system of using certificates than the U.S.

It is not accredited, so the courses will not transfer to colleges. It may work for you if you already have a high school diploma, but I would not recommend doing it in place of one. Most of the jobs for which it might qualify you also require a high school diploma.

I know someone that got their high school diploma through them, they didnt complain about it and said they were glad they went back and got one and the school was really flexible.

Whatever you do dont go through Ashworth, I go through them and they really get on my nerves.  They take 6 weeks to grade everything, if you are on the payment plan the take a month inbetween classes to ship the next class, they loose exams, they give you the run around on the phone, half the time I dont think they know what they are doing, and Ive missed points on tests that I know were correct and i call them up and be like hello here and then they admit it was wrong.  So its pretty retarded.
