Has anyone heard of studentambassadors.org?

I got a letter saying i am invited to study in japan for 2 weeks in the summer of 2009 but i have never heard of that so i would like to know if its not a scam

  1. i dont know sorry, but i know people who spend their summers at the America Schools around the world. Theres on in Switz, England, France and in Puerto Rico.

It's not a scam.  It is like a student exchange honors program.  You got your letter and it probably tells you about an informational meeting at X...  Anyway, the costs are pretty substantial, but it is usually worth it to go.  Just because you are interested and willing to pay, doesn't mean you actually will go, however.  With Student Ambassadors, you must complete an application after the informational meeting that usually includes recommendation letters from your teachers.  After that, you will have to go to an interview and answer questions like, "Why should we choose you to be a Student Ambassador?" and "Why do you want to study abroad?" or "How do you think studying abroad will impact you as a person?" etc.  Anyway, if you pass the interview, and are still able to pay the costs of the program, you can go study in Japan or wherever.  But, it's definately not a scam.  =]  Hope you get to go!

  3. i got this letter saying that i'm invited to go to Australia with them next summer, idk if its a scam. but ya it's from the same people

  4. I don't think it is a scam because my cuz is going to Australia next year with that program. i got one too but i am already going on an exchange program through Rotary..... in other words it seems Legit.
