  1. I had three of my 5th grade learning disabled students try it several years back. They all passed the End of grade tests for reading in our state. I would never have thought it.

    LD students learn reading best with a multidisciplinary approach and Read 180, when taught correctly, is one of those.

    So is someone that has been trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach. This is what I used and what my LD son used to develop strategies that continue to help him in college today.

    Some advocate the Wilson program which is also multi-disciplinary.

    As long as the teacher is well-versed in the method your child should do well with any multi-disciplinary approach.
