I read that not to buy a stand alone blu Ray DVD player now as the new ones(2.0) will play all the added features on the DVD.and that the older ones (1.0) will lower thier prices.

i knew HD-DVD would lose from the start. microsoft is pathetic

It sucks but money talks and ...well you know the rest.. I have both an HD player and a PS3 and I can say the even though both a an incredible picture HD-DVD is was better. I like the extra features with HD and the internet content as well. Funny thing is most of the movie companies had planned to side with HD until Sony decide that paying them was the way to get them so go with Bluray.
