I understand that Al Gore's mansion in Tennesee is a huge poorly insulated, outdated energy sucking behemoth, while W's ranch home is th ultimate in modern green materials and design utilizing geothermal and passive solar technologies. Has anyone heard similar or contrary and why do you think it is?

  1. And also Barry Bonds is not a good role model for children.

    Oh, the horror.

  2. Al has three, not one. But it's OK, he pays out some of his millions for credits.

  3. old news

  4. yeah he is extremely hypocritical. i guess he can afford it though with all the profit his shares in green companies are making.

  5. Bush is president and still Kyoto is waiting to be ratified

  6. Yes, I've heard that about Gore.  But I've also heard that he didn't deny it (owned up) and made the switch to more environmental friendly things.

No, I haven't heard that about George Bush.  Maybe it is true.

I think whether Gore has an "environmentally friendly" house or not is not essential to the topic of climate change.   Many skeptics of Global Warming site this... what does this have to do with the bigger issue?

  7. Funny how some don't see the hypocrisy in telling others to ride bikes to work while flying private jets all over the world and using 20 times more power than the average person.

I think actions speak louder than words and if he doesn't think "global warming" is that important then why should the rest of us?  He got a "peace prize" for this and he doesn't even believe in it?

Here's a link to the home comparisons you spoke of:

At least Bush is environmentally conscious.  Gore apparently isn't.

And say what you want about Clinton. At least he was smart enough not to ratify that ridiculous Kyoto Protocol.

And now even the new socialist prime minister of Australia has backed out of the Kyoto garbage.  I guess he found out how dangerous it was.

  8. Yes claims he pays carbon credits on every thing

BUT he owns the carbon credits company that he pays to.

so we will never know for sure.

  9. I also heard about that too.  Gore immediately installed solar panels after a magazine exposed him for being hypocritical on being "green".

I also heard the thing about Bush's home being "green".  But he didn't do the for environmental reasons, it was done because it was financially smarter to go that way instead.  Or so that's what the article said.  I can't remember where the article was published, it was around last year.
