  1. He had two adopted children with his first wife (one Asian and one African-American ethnically if I'm not mistaken) and a biological daughter with his second wife.  I don't know if he personally took in foster children, but he did a lot of benefit concerts for Christian Children's Fund and other agencies that helped children in impoverished parts of the world.
