What did you do? What was it like? Was it with a bunch of other people? Or just you and the boss or manager? Did they show you around the place?

  1. Yes, in the last month and there were a lot of people. There were no videos, just filling out a lot of paperwork and listening to the DM outline company policy. They didn't show us around either.

The training program could be good if they use it. However, I was just left to find out how to do things on my own. If I had a question, and I had a lot, I would just have to ask someone. I was put on the register, by myself, during lunch on my second day. It was so stressful because I knew next to nothing about their registers. The third day they put me on drive thru during lunch, by myself! Then I was scolded because my time wasn't below 2 min. and 30 seconds! The rest of my training period was the same

I worked for BK and they shorted me on my pay, allowed me to be harassed, and didn't give  me my benefits package until after I quit. I quit because they made me work at least 10 hours day and did not want to give me any break time, at all. If I wanted to eat I had to choke it down and get back to work, if I even got to eat.

Keep in mind I was salaried. If you're hourly you'll definitely get a break because they'll do anything to control labor cost, no matter how unethical. Being salaried sounds good, and should be in most cases, but I wound up working for way less than minimum wage. For instance, I took home $598 and some change for two weeks worth of work, July 1-July 14. During that period I worked about 110, 55 hours per week. Even is they took out $100 in taxes, which they didn't, I would've made $6.43 an hour. As it was, my bring home was $5.49.

Maybe it is different at other franchises but Strategic Restaurant Acquisition Corporation is unscrupulous. I wound up turning down another job offer because I was promised $560 a week. I also had to buy the required shoes and clothing which I don't need now.
