"...protest for the legalization of pot. There was a $25 fine for possession at that time."

Classy!

Do you still feel the same about legalizing pot?

  1. I don't see where going to jail is really going to help anything buy government to make some money off of someone having to pay a fine.

Jail should be the choice of last result.

  2. I have never been but, I feel it may come one day. Either for animal rights or human rights, I see it in my future.

  3. sorry i can say,yes i wont regret it never ...yes our actions made alot of a difference,we made it public....the make it to the media....and yes we been in jail...lol

  4. No, I got found not guilty!!! The campaign I was involved in at the time was "successful". But I know several who are on remand at the mo, and have been for over a year! Yet on the same day in court last week, a rapist and drug dealer walked free to return at a later date! And the people on remand are only there because the government want them out the way, not because they've committed serious crimes! Prime example are the SHAC ones!

Timmy you are very ignorant of what the police force/government and law is concerning protesting against animal abuse, the pharmaceutical companies/universities are all in bed with the government.

And for the comment jail being the last choice, believe me, these people do not deliberately do things which will lead to a jail term!

You have to be involved to know what really goes on.

People are harrassed and set up by the police.

16 people were arrested for SITTING DOWN on a pavement a couple of years ago, had their right taken away to enter a town and protest for a year. the judge threw the case out.

  5. if you cant voice your opinion legally you should voice it at all...there are plenty of legal protests but when you start trespassing and vandalising your no better than common thugs

if you are truly more civilised and compassionate than us omnis then surely you can find a legal, safe way to voice your opinion

just because you dont like somthing doesnt mean you have to break the law to voice your opinion....i dont see you doing the same for human causes
