Has anyone here ever 'called in' to work because they were hungover?

I called in because I was hungover, but didnt tell my boss. I just said I was sick, which was absolutely the truth, however it was self induced. I think if you tell your boss your not coming in due to a hangover it show a pretty big lack of commitment to your job and its also not very responsible. That being said I think just about all of us have been in  a postion were they went out and had way too much fun.I dont think any boss would look on it very kindly though.

Yes, a few times.. lol..

Usually if i am hungover i'll just call in and say that i am "sick" and "don't feel well." My boss never questioned it...

One time I had a get together in my house, on a Thursday and had a bunch of friends over and we were drinking, dancing, enjoying ourselves. The next morning i couldn't even get up but I looked at the time and realized it was nine o'clock already and that's the time we are suppose to be at work, the rule was to call out before 8, so i called my job, my boss picks up, i'm still drunk and tell him "i'm so sorry i can't make it, i didn't realize the time, i just." and he's like "it's ok.." He is a cool boss, thank god, so i didn't get in trouble.
