  1. I was just on the Legend in July. In the dining room, if he's still there, I hope you get Roberto. He is an amazing waiter. He's the best waiter we've ever had. Very quick, friendly, and loves to talk. Good luck!

Watch out in the cabin hallways. As I'm sure you've noticed from looking at pictures of the ship itself, the hallways are staggered. There are turns in the hallways that, if you're not paying attention, you might run into the wall! I did this a couple times in the beginning of the cruise because this was the first of the Spirit class I've been on. I'm going on the Miracle this year, so I know to look out!

Overall though, the ship is laid out much nicer than previous ships. One thing I really liked is there is no dining room in the middle of the ship. The one dining room is in the back. This means you don't have to walk down and around to get through the ship when the dining room is closed. If you've been on older Carnival ships, you know what I'm talking about.

Here's another thing. The photo gallery is only open during certain times. When it's closed, the panels that hold the photos are flipped around to show artwork. So you might think to yourself, "weren't there photos here last night?" Yes, there were. For some reason, you can't view them when the gallery's closed. However, on the other side of the ship is an open-view gallery of the older photos. Even when the gallery is closed, you can still view these photos.

Also, just so you know, the only way to get from the front of the ship to the back on the Promenade deck inside is to cut through the casino. So if you have kids with you, they ARE allowed to walk through the casino if they're on the wide path in the middle.

If you choose to go to the supper club one night, it's location is right underneath the funnel, on the Sun deck. It's a little hard to find, so this should give you an idea of where to head to.

  2. I sailed on a sister ship, Carnival Pride.  Except for the artwork, she is exactly the same.

    WONDERFUL ship.  Best parts:

    - Specialty steak house.  $30 extra, but sooooo worth it.  Great for a romantic dinner.

    - Pool can be covered during colder weather, so you can always swim regardless of weather

    - Wine bar (OK, I'm from California.  We're into that sort of thing)

    - On the first port day there will be a special Indian-themed lunch in the Lido.  Many of the guests are one land, but many of the officers go, because the food is awesome (many of the cooks are Indian).  Highly recommended.

    - Sauna.  It's free, in the fitness center locker room.  Separated men's and ladies'.  Soothing and relaxing, and most people don't know about it.

    - Carnival Legends -- it's like American Idol, but karaoke.  It's really amazing.  People try out for the first few nights for specific roles (Aretha Franklin, Jame Brown, Frank Sinatra, etc.) and the ones selected get special coaching and prep to perform on stage the final night.  Even if you're not talented (I'm not!) it's really awesome to watch and cheer for your friends.  There are some amazingly talented folks.

If you have more specific questions, just ask.

    Enjoy your cruise!
