  1. I have.

  2. Yes, I had, but I did not like, it is terrible from the bull preparation to the end...

  3. Yes, in both Mexico and Spain. Old, historic crowd pleasing spectacle of man's power over beast that gives fits to animal activists.

  4. 1956 in Barcelona, we captured it on 8mm color movie film, no video-cam in those days, They pretty well weaken the animal, and he does not have full vigor. We ate steak and eggs a lot back then in small cafe's 40 cents a plate, served with potatoes and tomatoes, and champagne, even at breakfast.

  5. yes one of the most colorful, musical sports there is with real danger present.

If you go become Latino for a day and for god's sake don't cheer for the bull.

If you do not wish to see the kill go to Portugal.

Beautiful people, powerful beasts and great horsemanship.

  6. They show them on mexican cable tv on the Unicable channel each Saturday. I've seen it a few times on tv but never in person (and I don't plan on doing).

While I do admit it's a very dangerous uh.. sport and it must be d**n hard to stab a beast that weighs 4 times than you, I personally don't like it and think it's cruelty. It would be different if they just danced around with the red thing a bit and free the animal or kill it in one shot, but they kill the animal slowly by stabbing it on the back with these thin spears.

Kinda ironic: If you stab a human being multiple times slowly, it's attempted homicide with torture, if you do it to a dog, it's animal cruelty, but if you do it to a bull, it's "the passion".

There's two plazas in Mexico City if you ever feel like going, the ticket costs less than 10 dollars. In Spain it's getting less and less socially acceptable and they only kill the animal in certain cities, but most mexicans don't think of bullfighting the way I do.

  7. My husband has seen them in Mexico...what do you want to know about them?

  8. yes in Spain in 1999 - curiosity got to me- would not go again!
