  1. I am getting ready to start my 4th cycle of Clomid.  I am on that and Provera because I do not ovulate on my own and I do not have periods without Provera.  I have had friends who got pregnant on their 2-3 cycle of CLomid and some who had to go a bit further with fertility drugs (like injectables).  I guess it just depends on the woman and how her body responds to the drugs.  This is my last try on the CLomid.  If I am not pregnant this time, it's off to the fertility specialist for me!!

Good luck and don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen right away.  WHo knows, maybe you'll get lucky the first 1-2 times!!!

  2. hi there! it takes on average up to 3 cycles to get pregnant on Clomid, however some women get pregnant in their first cycle of Clomid! so good luck! you can find women who are on Clomid, or who were on Clomid and gotten pregnant and ask doctors questions online for free, try fertilityties.com

    good luck!

  3. I started taking Clomid for a luteal phase defect.  We conceived the second month.  Unfortunately ended in miscarriage at 9 weeks.  Can't wait to get back on it after I have one normal cycle.

  4. Yes first time. I read somewhere that taking vit c supplements makes the clomid more successful. I did this and it worked could have been coincidence though.

I took it because I wasn't ovulating on my own.

I conceived naturally with my first children but had problems with my third.

  5. I started because I was not ovulating, it took 3 months for us to conceive.

  6. I know a few people that got pregnant there first round of Clomid.

I am taking Clomid because we have been TTC for almost 3 years and I had very irregular periods. I was diagnosed with PCOS in May. And I am currently on my first round of Clomid. I hope it works.

  7. Yep, I was very lucky and got pregnant on my first round of clomid. My periods were few and far between sometimes not having one for 3 months! I was put on a medication to induce my period, took clomid, ovulated late (but still ovulated) and got pregnant!! (It is very important to chart your cycle with your basal body temp, cervical mucus, and ovulation kits to know when to have s*x - The doc told me to have s*x on cycle day 14, but I ovulated on cycle day 28! So I am glad I took that into my own hands or it wouldn't have worked) It might take a few rounds, but sometimes it works like a charm the first round! Good luck!
