Has anyone here had to move far away from the place you've lived in your whole life?

Twice as a kid.  Third time as an adult.

When I was a kid, my parents moved far away twice.  It ends up okay.  You make new friends, meet new people.  Live changes, no big deal.

Then a third time I moved out on my own as an adult to another state also.  No big deal.  Loads of great people out there in spite of the evening news.

Yes.  I lived from birth in Erie, PA until I was drafted into the Army just shy of my 20th birthday.  From that point on, I have lived (outside of the service) as far away as Alaska.  I now live in Florida.
