I'm with Otis on his choice of books, but I did see the first three Potter movies.  I thought the first one was clever, but it went downhill after that.

I am not tempted to read the books. There are so many others to choose from.

eh. i've never even watched an entire  harry potter movie. twilight doesn't sound all that interesting either. i didn't even know it existed until one late night at wal-mart, there was a massive herd of emos standing in line for the most recent book. i had no idea what they were waiting for.

the chronicles of thomas covenant is a good series, haven't read the final book in it, though. the sword of truth series is alright, until terry goodkind gets all preachy about "logic and reason". the shanarra series by terry brooks is cool too, but tolkien and his buddy lewis are unbeatable when it comes to fantasy.

My brother refuses to read any of them. Even though we constantly tell him too.

And my mom won't read the last 3 books.

I don't really know why.

I read the last couple of chapters of the last book, so that i know wat happens in the future and can talk about it with my friends... but not the whole book cuz i find the series pretty boring to be honest

*GASP* I have! I have! I looove those books! They kick butt! JK Rowling is a genius. I could never come up with something so elaborate... she built up to the end so perfectly. It's truely amazing. Well, amazing to anybody who's actually read them and can analyze literature at a decent level.

She's an amaaaazing writer and her books will stand the tests of time.

I tried 50 pages of the first one, and found it derivative and banal.

nope never it just doesn't seem interesting to me. ill just wait until they come out in the movie theaters.

No, I haven't read any of the books nor have I seen any of the movies. They started to be published when I was in middle school, but they were never "my type" of novel, so I never picked them up.

I'm thinking about starting them, but I've got an entire list of novels on my "To Read" list, so it'll be a while before I get to them.

I read the last three books cuz those were the books I wanted to read. Twilight is way better!

I have, since they were published in the late 90's. HP is my favorite fantasy series.

I've read them, but the last three books-5, 6, 7- are pretty boring in my humble opinion.
