Question:

Has anyone here tried using Oxy-Hydrogen, or Brown's gas in their vehicles?

I'm curious about the effects of this gas on the interior of engines, especially since the exhaust is water. Will this cause damage to an engines interior?

  1. No I don't think i would but my ??? is when its winter wont the water exhaust freeze on the other cars?!

  2. No, I've never tried it, but there is legitimate research showing that adding a little to the air intake does improve gas mileage by 10 to 40 percent(lower side more likely) if setup correctly.

Right now the only people who have this installed professionally are semi truck companies and similar that can afford to spend a few thousand per installable unit. You aren't likely to encounter very many who do, and some of them probably don't even know that it is installed if it is a company truck. And I won't comment of the hobby units as they are unreliable in unpredictable ways.

No, the water won't cause damage as it is blown out of the engine at a super heated temperature. Water would have to lower the temp and have a gathering place in the engine for damage to occur, highly unlikely. Most engines also blow out unexploded liquid fuel(or it would be liquid at a lower temp). In theory the water exhaust should replace the fuel exhaust in volume so nearby people will breath in less toxic fumes as well.

About Brown's gas: When added in small amounts to the air intake to maximize fuel efficiency of a gasoline engine, it is not a scam. As a fuel source itself, 98% chance that it is a scam.

  3. If your car wasn't designed to use it, it's likely not a good idea.  When gasohol came out YEARS ago and ate up all of the seals in the fuel systems of most cars, people began to understand this.

E85 fuel is a joke too.....costs 5% less and you need to burn 20% more of it.  WHere is the savings?

We all know that methanol is a hoax too....it uses 40% more energy to produce it than it is capable of releasing.

    We need better options!

  4. Oxy -Hydrogen is a bomb looking for a spark and sense it has the O there it will explode all of it. The Germans tried something very similar on there rocket research and blew up the hole site.

  5. H2 gas will be a common fuel source, in about 20 years.  But the "Brown's Gas" saga is just total BS.  It doesn't work as they state in their ads.  It is a fraud.
