I'm looking to hire a copy writer for my web site, and R.C. Brown Copywriters (they also go by Words for Hire) is advertising a penny per word. His samples look good, but was just wondering if anyone has personal experience with them. I found them at http://www.wordsforhire.net, and their email is rcbrownmedia@gmail.com

  1. I don't know R.C. Brown but am glad that you provided his/her name.  The legal name of my company is Words For Hire and there is often confusion. I do know Sharon Hurley Hall (getpaidtowriteonline.com) and wanted to add my recommendation. She is professional, talented and clients have had good things to say about her work and work ethic. There are quite a few copyrwriters with websites and blogs.

However, I must also agree do not judge a writer by price alone.

    Good luck with your project!

  2. You get what you pay for. Most copywriters never have their own sites so you can't judge their quality.  There are several good ones on the web that can prove their worth:

http://getpaidtowriteonline.com - Sharon's site is always on the top of the ghostwriting searches at google. Another one  is owned by Suzanne James is http://wealthy-writer.com. Suzanne owns http://www.inspiredauthor.com which gets 4m unique hits and 17m page views a year.

Both of these writers work at www.ifreelance.com or for http://virtualadagency.com

You can also get Dana Prince who does write for $.10 and works for one of the largest ghostwriting agencies in the world as a supervisor.

I learned early on that it is easy to make a good looking website and to say that 'we can't tell you our clients because we need to protect them' --- but if you want good work then only work with the ones who let clients check out their writing.

I am not saying that your guy is not good. I am just telling you what I've learned after 5 years experience.

  3. Yeah, Words for Hire / R.C. Copywriters is for real, and generally it's a penny a word, although more complicated assignments might go as high as two or three cents a word...but worth it. They have another website at

    http://www.wordsforhire.biz .  Email them at rcbrownmedia@gmail.com
