  3. I can tell you from experience that being home schooled is much different from going to public school. In a social aspect it can be really difficult for a child to experience once he/she is out on their own. Certain social situations like a complete stranger calling you "pal". For example, I was not home schooled but I was in a military boarding school from 7thru12th. So having just to learn military ethics and never having to experience the social behavior can be very difficult. So in college one day I was walking down the hallway and a fellow student accidentally bumped into me and he said, "sorry pal." and man I was so pissed! I said to myself, who is this guy and I'm not even his pal!! So I turned around and punched the guy! Little did I know he was just apologizing and trying to be passive. All and all just keep in mind that to keep your son or daughter refreshed in social culture and to inform them that they will face such hardships. Just be there for them and help them understand these situations. Hey great question you've posted here! Good luck and take care! God Bless!

  4. When you go to public school at first time, you may feel like "a small fish in a big pond".

    But, there is nothing strange.

    Have fun!

  5. It is miserable.  Please don't put your child through this horrible experience.

  6. Watch the movie "Mean Girls"

    && Yu will know (:

    (Jen, I was kidding, lol. Apart from the cliques and stuff, it is actually like Mean Girls. Cady was always getting into trouble being used to just walking out of the door when she needs to go to the bathroom & eating whenever she feels like it etc.)

  7. This answer is from a student's point of view. I attended school in a rural area where many parents who home schooled chose to mainstream their children back into public school.

    It really depends on the kid. Those who had a lot of social activities like sports, church, or community involvement seemed to transition a lot better than those who had not. They always seemed to stick out, or not be able to relate to the little everyday rituals that comprise the school day. They got made fun of a lot. We could always tell who was home schooled, and we made it pretty rough for them. More often than not, they ended up going back to homeschooling. Kids can be very mean, and anything that makes someone different is going to make them more of a target.

  8. When people didn't ans u as u wanted...

    I think  they were kinda saying... what belle.... did here.

    good luck

  9. Well a girl came to my school last year in Grade 10, she was homeschooled and adjusted well. Although that may have been helped by the fact that she was used to heaps of people at home, having 17 bros and sissies!

    =D
