I have been reading it is illegal in New Jersey, but you can still get one. I'd like to know how to go about doing this in New Jersey.

  1. I had a few before they were illegal in Maryland.  You do not want to do them.  You get per se: 350.00 and then you have to pay back tons of interest if you do not pay the whole thing back in the 30 days or whatever it is/was...  That is what they are hoping for.  They are all scams..  Best advice is just save and/or try to get a loan at Prosper.  I would rather pay the interest there then the 300 percent from the pay day loans.  The reason states are making them illegal is because of the fact that they are shady and corrupt.  Just advice from a person that had a few a couple years ago.

  2. Try to think about payday loan as your very last resource. Many people complaining about it as a scam. They are not scam. They are legitimate financial products. However as every financial product a payday loan has its own rules of playing. Big percentage of people who’s taking payday loans never paid it back. That’s why rates on these loans are so high. If you are out of options you can obtain payday loan here.

Rate will be pretty aggressive. But there is no scam.

    Good luck.

  3. Fran M, Be careful if you decide to apply for an online payday loan. Each state has different regulations, and I'm not sure about New Jersey rules and regulations. Try contacting a local cash advance office so you can get help before taking out the loan. http://www.howtogetcashadvance.com

  4. Payday Loans = disaster

Chances are if you are desperate enough to even think about one you will NOT be able to repay it and then is when all h**l breaks loose for you.
