I'm just wondering if anyone can give me any documentation of a single person ever surviving a crash into water because of their lifevest. For that matter, can anyone cite any person in a commercial aircraft that ever survived a crash into water for any reason whatsoever?

  1. What I think is funny is flying from Phoenix to Denver, and the flight attendant says "In the event of a water landing, your seat cushion can be used as a flotation device". What water? I would want to know what will save my butt if we go down in the mountains, not the ocean.

  2. there was one i know about it was off the coast of i want to say Australia i saw it on a show like worlds wildest videos or something like that but there were a few survivors they knew that they were going to crash so they knew what they were doing

  3. I've done a bit of looking at the http://www.ntsb.gov database but found no large airplane water landings with any survivors.
