  1. had it out when i was 15. hate the scar its left but it wasnt a painful experience at all


  2. I had appendix out 15 years ago and they let me go home the next day and get staples out in two weeks. If you have complications it could be longer.

  3. safg,if it is done laparoscopically and it is not inflamed,u will be oot in 3 days.if they open u up,u r in for a week minimum.us gynaecologists know these things.remember,dont wear your new pink top

  4. Recovery time depends on age, fitness and your general state of health, obviously.  The op is not half as serious as it was years ago.  I would expect that a few days in hospital would be the norm, about a fortnight to 3 weeks for a full recovery.

    Didn't realise it was your wee yin that you were talking about.  She will be fine, the staff at Yorkhill are first class and will look after your daughter.  Best wishes and a speedy recovery for your wee lamb.

  6. I'm not Scottish and I am not a soccer player, but I had my appendix out at about 10PM on a Friday - woke up from surgery at about midnight and was strolling out of the hospital before noon on Saturday.

  9. my neice got this op but it was about 10 years ago when she was about 2..she was in for about 10 days and was on a drip because of an infection or something....kids are resiliant wee things...know you must be worried sick though but am sure she'll be ok..give her a wee hug from us and take care x

  11. Yes I have scotsair.

    When I was 12 so not much shaving goin on then, was a late developer :) but hung like a horse now.

    Was in for 4 days & fell in love with Barbara Striesand due to the fact I am a woman in love was number 1, amazing what puberty can do to a wee chap.

  13. No I haven't but when I saw it was your wee girl you were talking about just wanted to wish her all the best and a speedy recovery.

  14. I did.  It was back in the 80's and I was in hospital for a week after the op and lying in my bed for a week at home before I got the stitches out.

    Technology's came a long way since then.

    Its a pain but its not major surgery (routine operations) so don't worry too much.
