  1. It took a month between my brother having his interview and receiving his passport - and that was earlier in the year - so you had better send your Application Form, Photos and Birth Certificate off fast (remember to keep a copy of your Birth Certificate and find another form off ID as you will be asked to produce those at your interview).

  2. my mum had one they just ask you questions on your date of birth and your name and get you to spell it and stuff nothing to owrry about and you should have it back if not youmay have to drive down to newcastle to pick it up

  3. If you urgently want want a passport the best thing to do is go to the passport agency office, you need to make an appointment and you have to be on time or they will refuse to see you.  I'm not sure if you can apply for your first passport like this.  Check out the link below.

  4. You want to send it off pronto because this is the busiest time of year for the passport office.

The fact that you are a first time applicant means you have to go through an interview and that adds to the time.

If you are really desperate you can apply in person at one of the offices, that cuts out all the postal delays, but there will be an extra charge.

  5. It will take about two weeks and if i was you, i would use the post offices checker service. It costs a few quid but they check to make sure it is filled in correctly and send it off for you. One little mistake and the passport office will send it back.

  6. i did mine about 2 months ago.....it took about 4 weeks and i needed an interview.

i know someone who had his back after 6 weeks and needed the interview. guess its different for all people

i was included on a passport before two but that doesnt make a difference apparently. use the check and send service costs about £7 i think.
