  1. Yes.

    The electric one the homeowner supplied was worthless.

    They were always on the phone to tech support.

    Called me back out three times to do what the tech instructed and replace the needed parts with what the tech sent.

    It was an $800 unit. Looked nice. Wasn't worth a can of beans. Lifetime warranty as long as they got a licensed plumber to work on it.

    They haven't called me in a while, but at last knowledge, they where not happy with it, just living with it.

    Another customer of mine wanted me to put in a gas tankless for him. I couldn't get to it, so he had to get someone else.

    He loves it. It's a Riniaa, (misspelled).

    Loved it so much, he put one in again, in his second new house he had built.

    The gas heaters require larger gas supplies and a larger vent. Keep that in mind if you are considering retrofitting on a existing system.
