Has anyone installed an HHO Generator

If you have has it made a big difference in gas mileage. I want to purchase one and install it in a Ford F-150 with a V-6. I was just wondering if anyone had had experience with one yet.

  1. I sort of haunt this section of Y!A and we see this question a lot.   Only once or twice did I ever see anyone respond who claimed to have any actual experience with these things.   The responses that you typically see are:

These make no sense and break natural thermodynamic laws, you idiot.

    OR

These things are great - go to this website and buy one (from me.)

    OR

These things could maybe work under specific circumstances, here are some websites to read up on about their use.

None of which are what you are looking for.

If you don't get and answer from anyone who has experience with them, I'd suggest that you do a search of already answered questions for words like HHO and experience or even just HHO and see what you can find.

Sorry.   Wish I could be of more help.

  2. here is the deal. it would work except for the fact that your newer engines will over compensate for the different mixure detected going into the engine. You have to also hack your car computer to let the mixure be different.

The only real solution is for this item to be created and run from the manufacture and I have not heard of any of them adding it.

  3. NOBODY in the universe has installed an HHO generator because there is no such thing as HHO.  You can foolishly spend money on a system that will rob energy from your engine that will make a stoicementric mixture of H2 and O2. Your engine will burn more fuel and lose energy in the form of lost entropy and making hot water.

This is a scam and people have gone to jail for scams that "increase efficiency" of your engine.

  4. Don't listen to these downers.  There are plenty of videos on youtube that explain to you just how to make and use HHO gas.

There's a lot of videos on PWM, or Pulse Width Modulation, to make the process more stable and keep you from burning up wires.

A friend of mine installed a system on his old work van using just pvc pipe and metal plates charged accordingly.  It actually bubbles, and his van actually gets double its original mileage.  The only problem is that he hasn't yet figured out how to install a switch, so he has to go under the hood each time he starts his car, to connect the neg battery cable and thus the generator, otherwise it would kill the battery without the alternator charging it.

If you have a newer vehicle, you may need an EFIE to keep your 02 sensors from sensing all the new oxygen in the HHO and dumping a bunch of fuel into your injectors, thus forcing you to run rich.

Basically what the system consists of is the plates, in water, in pvc pipe, with a cap on top that can blow off if need be (if production becomes too great and would otherwise explode the unit) Then you just get some vacuum tubing, and send the gas to bubble in under an entirely separate plastic or glass bottle filled with water.  The gas bubbles up and through the water so that you know you have production.  Then the vacuum hose goes straight into your air intake, and the HHO gas is "breathed in" by your engine.

These people are right, a lot of people will try to sell you ****.  Don't fall for it.  Make it yourself!!!

or you can try water4gas, or equivalent, if you're not up for a little scientific adventure...

  5. A lot of people have installed them, some of them even thought it made a difference.

But they didn't know how to test it properly.

  6. Why install it when it been tested and PROVEN not to work. This is a con and its been around since before the 1970's.

The way they get the fuel saving is to lean out the fuel air mix, and yes this will save fuel, at the cost of an engine. Your engine won't burn up right away it'll take a few miles then you'll have a burnt valve, piston, etc, so you'll save a little money on fuel and spend $2,000+ on an engine.

I have a long post showing why it can't and won't work, (post an edit and I'll post it again)

But think about this if a car company could sudden increase it fuel economy with this type of device why are they not on cars right now, the patents have expired and they are free for ANYONE to use, after all the car companies have to meet their C.A.F.E number. The reason is that it don't work.

    Sorry there's no free lunch.

  7. the only people who like those things are the people selling them and plans for them...BECAUSE the dont work
