Has anyone invited someone in egypt to england?

i met someone in egypt and he says i have to send him a invition, im not sure what to put in it, im new at all this so please help, thanks x

To get himself a visa to visit you he will need a letter from you to prove that he has a legitimate reason for visiting Egypt.

In your letter - which you can address to the consul at the British Embassy - you should state clearly that this person is able to afford his own trip - that he will be staying with you as a guest and state the exact length of time of his visit e.g. two weeks.The visa officials want to see evidence of several factors:

That the visitor has a full time job in Egypt and will need to return after his holiday - so a letter of release and a letter of confirmation of employment is needed

Evidence of a bank account that proves he can fund his visit to the UK and is not likely to escape from the officials and be a burden to the state

They need to be very very sure that he will return and that this is a visit only

You may be investigated to prove that your details are true

A sponsor invitation letter like the one you will provide

A clear reason for the visit is needed - you can be very firm and clear in your letter this will help.

Sometimes it is better if you fax them a copy of the sponsor letter when he is applying...

If this is a friend it is as above and if it is more than friendship eg you are later married there are other steps you can take - again investigate the website for what you need to do.

invite him to stay in your place , if you wish to make your invitation stronger .
