  1. It's glaucoma, first peripheral vision goes, and then the main vision.

  2. i dont know what peripheral means but omg ye the first day of 6th grade at lunch i went frickin BLIND for like 12 minutes it was the scariest day in my life

  3. Yes, I lose the left side of my vision for about half-an hour about twice a year.

The most common reason for that, as in my case, is migraine, with or without other symptoms such as headache or nausea.

But there are rarer and more serious possibilities, so it should definitely be reported.  There is no simple test for migraine, so that is only a reliable diagnosis *after* other things have been ruled out.  Transient ischemia, for example.

It can be a warning sign of a impending stroke.

  4. loss of peri pheral vision means  long standing high pressure in the eye better consult an eye DR--- NO OTHER GO
