Has anyone made a pregnancy blog/website?

Question

I was thinking about making some kind of blog, journal, website online for my family and friends to check out during my pregnancy. I want to make sure it's a secure and private run site so that not "just anyone" can see all my personal details. Has anyone done something like this and what are your thoughts?

I have one at www.babiesonline.com. My sister-in-law did it first. You can set it up where your friends and family have to enter a password to view your page. Also, as you update it you can send out an e-mail to the people you add to your address book and they can view it directly. It is a safe site and we love it.

I had one on myspace, but it was set so only my friends can see it. i loved it because i got to show my friends who live in different states pictures of my belly every month and i blogged abou thow i felt after each visit and how the pregnancy progressed. i say go for it, and if you DO decide to put up pics and stuff on another website, make sure not to put anything too personal. =) I think its a cute idea

Yes, I have a secure blog through Blogger.com.  It requires a log-in.  

Everyone has loved it.  It has proved so popular that I simply continued it through the first year and for my second pregnancy.  I posted ultrasound pictures, used a pregnancy widget (see link below), and kept everyone up to date on progress / doctor's visits, etc.  

I also plan to have it printed and bound into books which I will keep for my children so that they have a record of their time in the womb as well as their early childhood years.  I think that they will really enjoy it when they get older.

Yes I have one thru babysites.com.  You can make it private or public.  I love ours and it helps keep family and friends that don't live near us posted.
