Has anyone managed to connect a nintendo DS with siemens gigaset 587 router i need some help with settings?

I've been trying to set up my DS on wifi for ages but I always get something like cant find my IP address, cant connect to this access point, my wireless is fine and working but I cant connect my DS, if anyone out there has set up a DS with this router please let me know how you managed!!!!

you need to enter the upd and tcp numbers in your router

Your DS will only accept WEP encryption from your gigaset router, and your router is pre set to WPA encryption not WEP. You can change it but is means logging into your router and changing the defaults. This also means you will have to reconfigure any other wireless devices (PCs, laptops that are wirelessly connected to use WEP encryption). There is a manual on the CD that came with the router or a link below, which tells you how to change the encryption.

Go to your DS into the Wifi settings and enter the network name and the passphrase and you should be fine
