Has anyone misused the neti pot and if so what happened?

Thanks Alicia you are right -

I told my friend that I think the neti pot is great -caused I used it occassionally.

But she claims that the neti pot gave her major headaches and even her teeth hurt and I think she might have overtilted her head. I was wondering if this happened to anyone else.

You should be more specific with what you mean by misused. It's hard to answer your question. Do you mean using something other than water in the neti pot or do you mean not placing it in your nose at a certain angle??

When I first started using the neti pot, I had titled my head too far back and the water made my sinus area and eye burn. So, I tried a few different angles until I didn't feel the water. I have a deviated septum, so that might have something to do with it. Your friend might have the same problem.

I saw someone ask this last week.  Do a search and you might see it.  I think she poured the water in too fast.
