My daughter's name is Eliora does anyone else have a baby or family member named this?

You pronounce the name Ellie-or-ah and it does mean "God is my light". We do call her Ellie for a nick.

  2. I have actually heard that name before. My 14 year old niece has a friend named that. She is also called Ellie. My daughter's name is Eliana. pronounced Ellie-on-a. We call her Ellie.

  6. I looked it up and discovered it to be the feminine form of Elior or אֱלִיאוֹר (Hebrew) and, as you say, it means "my God is my light" in Hebrew. It is a beautiful name for a child and may this be true in her life.
