Are you suprised by this? This is usually the result when runaway idealism is challenged with a critical eye. They just cannot see how anyone cannot see and get behind the wisdom of their choice. You can't really blame them though because if you saw the acceptance speech last night then you should know that their candidate is no better and fosters negativity himself. Unity indeed!

I try not to notice the rage and negativity. Isn't it great that the Republicans are more centered?

Yeah right.  I think you're making quite a sweeping generalization that isn't correct.  I don't feel rage at least.  Even if McCain wins, I still think it will be funny since the Republicans will have to scapegoat him to pay down Dubya's war debts.  It might actually be worse for the Democrats if Obama wins the election.  It's like the old Zen master says, "we'll see."
