I dont know about you, but everytime I order a toasted Subway sandwich a strange odor comes out it. Its like the bread turns into something else when it comes out of that time capsule toaster oven they use. Has anyone noticed this or is it just me? I stopped eating in Subway because of this. The bread tastes like burnt plastic.

  1. It depend on the subway sandwich you eat. Probably u got a weird mixture. When i get mines it dont smell weird the thing is tht your picky so u try to look for a defect. But subway sandwiches arent bad. I eat them like evryweek. I never notice that. Or maybe is the subway you go to. If its the same place you go to try a new one.

  2. i stopped eating at subway because when i walk in there it smells like bleach

  3. I agree with the other poster, I cannot go into or even walk by a SubWay (any one of them, they all smell the same)...it always smells like bleach and dirty feet, it is awful and literally burns my nose.  Perhaps the strange smell is like toasted bleached dirty feet?

  4. i think the subs just let a little gas from time to time.

  5. It sounds like you are very sensitive to smells. The smell after toasting could be due to the chemicals used to clean the oven. I work at subway and I myself have noticed some weird smells. Especially in the proofer, where the bread rises, it smells like garbage because of the yeast.
