Has anyone noticed burger king stores are closing down? Does anyone know why ?

the one we have around here is nice I would hate to see it go =/ in fact I may work at mc and buy from BK =) I would hate to see them go down though my parents order every week or two from them..(their stuff is fattening but people work hard)

yes, I have noticed it, the trend has been going on for at least a few years.  Too much fast-food competition for lunch, and not as mujch demand for a fast-food dinner

I don't know where you are, but here in Milwaukee they are making a come back.  I know the previous franchise owns went out of business about 5 years ago.  But know they are popping up all over the place.

yeah, it's hard to compete with McD's.  They are winning with iced coffee, better $1 menu, Their sweet tea is a hit, happy meal toys are better, great new coffee line, good salads, healthy options such as salads, fruit salad, and apple dippers, salads are better.  McD's does their research and they know what people want.

I really don't know b/c I would choose BK or McDonald's any day. The food is always hot and fresh-tasting. I'm not a frequent fast-food consumer, but BK is always my first choice.  The BK's we have just started staying open for 24 hours.  The one's in smaller towns seem to be closing down.

yeah i noticed.  They are closing down because they aren't really making any money.  The food is pricey and nasty.  Not many people go there anymore

No. Not really. My local BK has excellent food. The food prices really range from where you live. The food at my local BK are just the right price. So I don't even know why people are making such a fuss about closing down BK.

sad! their burgers are actually healthier than mcdonalds b/c they broil them. broiling causes the least amount of fat content. the grease you see on the burgers is from the cheese melting, not the burger. i have had some bad service, but what can u expect from high school students that get paid minimum wage?

theres a few that shut down but one in particular was in Boston next to TD Banknorth....  that place was alwayyyyss busy. it sucks...!!! but yea, i have noticed that some BK stores are closed down.

nope where i live there is a tone of them and a lot of people here really like it

No I haven't noticed but I can tell you that if all of them have the service that ours does then that would be the reason. Bad service, cold food equals less consumers.

We had one burger king close near me, but we still have 3 others in about a 10 mile radius. Where I live Wendys has become really popular and gets the most customers. I think Burger King gets a bad rap and people try and avoid it.
