I've been watching the news for years now and I just noticed something. Here's how companies avoid commenting on any lawsuits at any time.

When asked about the lawsuit the company had this to say...

Our company prefers not to comment on any pending litigation at this time.

After the case was over the company had this to say....

Our company does not comment on completed litigation.

This is wonderful, sneaky and so typical of someone who's a politician so I wonder who started this?

Does anyone know the exact term they use to weasel out of the case after it's settled?

  1. Aside from "No comment", the settlements are also called Non-Compete Agreements, Oath of Secrecy, Restrictive Covenant, gag order, judgements, verdicts and Termination of Legal Action.
