Has anyone noticed lost distance with the new Ping i10 irons?

I recently purchased Ping i10 irons custom fit to me and have noticed some distance lost compared to previous irons I've owned. I've own Adams Idea Pro Forged as well as Wilson Pi5's and I seem to be almost a complete club less with the Ping i10's. Has anyone else noticed this?

  2. No have never had the priviledge to even touch a Ping, one club (No 1) cost here in South Africa as much as my whole golf club set. I have heard the are very good.

  3. I just went from the I3 to the I10 irons. I noticed a slight loss in distance. I would say about 10 yards per club. I had my I3 lofts checked and it seems over the 8 years I hit them the lofts changed and became stronger, which accounted for the difference in distance between the I3 and I10's. The I10's had standard lofts, the I3s were stronger.

Are you sure they are fitted correctly? I would recommend making sure they are correctly fitted in the lie and shaft. Also, you may want to check the lofts vs. the lofts on your older irons.

If it is the shaft you should notice a big trajectory difference over your last irons. If the I10's are ballooning a bit on trajectory you need a stiffer shaft, if the flight is too low you might have too stiff of a shaft.
