Question:

Has anyone noticed that Dixie Cups aren't made very well anymore?

They become weak and flimsy after just one use. For years I've been able to use 'em over and over, but now they're truly disposable. Shame on Georgia-Pacific, tree harvesters of greed. Back to glass cups in the bathroom- who's with me?

  1. Sorry, Ive used a plastic cup in the bathroom for quite some time, as I hate throwing all that paper into the landfill all the time.  Plus, I prefer to not spend money on something like that.  And I personally never remember them lasting for more than a couple of uses max anyway.

  2. I suspect they have been recycled.  Are they less expensive now, or more expensive since they are recycled?  I mean does it cost more now that it's been recycled? Sounds like Georgia-Pacific is using conversation and recycling...and that's a good thing.

I don't use any cups or glasses in the bathroom, in fact I don't drink the water in there.  Have you ever heard of cupping your hands (and drinking water from them....of course, after you've used sanitized soap?  That's one of my contributions to conservation and to my pocketbook.

  3. they're probably using recycled paper to make the cups. But if you were reusing the cups before, you should have been using glass before too.
