Has anyone noticed that male newsreaders do not have piercings?

obviously above the shoulders that is. I certainly would not find this offensive and come on we are living in 2008, when such body adornments are very fashionable.Any opinions please.

I'll take a guy with piercings any day over the chicks with the stupid helmet-head hair-doos.

I think the fashion police should drag these babes off the set. This hair design has gone on far too long. Gimme guys with tats on their faces and babes with pig tails and at least I'll have something new to look at. It will still be the same contrived media agenda c**p, but the package will be different...

No visible ones, perhaps, but I have it on good authority that Charlie State has twin nipple rings (and I once saw him fiddling with the left one when he thought he was off camera), and that Sir Trevor MacDonald has a very heavy Prince Albert.

They have to look inoffensive on TV - and some people do find body mutilation offensive even if it is fashionable.  You don't know what they wear when off-duty!

Maybe the type of people who want to read the news don't find them suitable along with the fact that it is not desirable for others to see.  Some like it, most wouldn't.

Fashion does not equal decency.

Even in the Army you cannot have piercings (obvious) nor tattoos above the collar line even.

It takes intelligence to read the news so they have enough to know how ridiculous piercings actually look!!!!!
