Has anyone noticed why why the Afl and Nrl Grand finals all sucked and were pretty boring.?

Like seriously i watched the NRL final and it was just amnly getting snapped by the Storm. (No offence to Manly) And the Power got snapped by the cats(N offence to the Power)

they were just blowouts, you back the year before, broncos only just beat storm by 7 and swans only went down by 1 point..just a one off year i guess

yeah i know. Even though the grand final is usually between the two best teams in each league, the players get really nervous (even at that level of the game and after all their experience) which means the game is either really woeful by both teams or one team dominates and the other one just totally sucks.

But thats just from last year. Look back many years and you will see that there have been a load of games which went into extra time or were one or lost by a difference by 1 point. Consider them too.

wow you've taken the finals from 2 sports from 1 year and comparedthem. go back a few, you have 1 point wins, you have crowds streaming onto the feild (obviously to beat up the players for being so boring duh) you have face offs that have happened for years, there are games that have been the last for great players... players have snapped bones and still had the urge to play. finals are massive to the players. and just cause your team didnt play doesnt meen it was c**p.

but no last years final is enough to say they are all s**t..

the finals arent just another game. they are a playoff from the best 2 teams in the comp. for the best spot. 1st.

the nrl GF was great the storm rolled manly. as for that other game dunno or care.

The AFL one sucked because it was lopsided.  geelong made port look like a high school team.

NRl was boring because Strom have good execution but Cronk is not exactly and exciting or enigmatic player. Everybody hates manly. enough said

Haven't seen an NRL GF in years, since Fox Sports World is no longer on our cable television.

The AFL GF was perfect. Geelong is my side I support.

I was at  the NRL Grand Final and it wasn't boring, although the team I wanted to win, didn't.  Still, good tries were scored and that is one of the reasons to watch a game.  The storm thundered all over Manly!

As far as the AFL was concerned, I watched a bit of it and was amazed how much faster Geelong were with the ball.  They did a lot of good things and "short circuited" the power.
