Has anyone owned a sugar glider?

I've done some research and found some information that is very contradicting. Some sites say they are loving and easy to take care of. Others say they are mean and stink really bad. What are the pros and cons of these little guys? Any information you can give me would be helpful!

  1. O my..i have been there to. A site said that they stink and stuff..and the same site says that they are neat andclean animals! i dont get it either.

Anyways///sugar gliders don't smell. They of course have an odor like every animal..i would compare there "stink" to one of a gerbil or hamster. Definently not as bad as a ferret.

Although, your gliders can stink if they are not properly cared for. If there diet has to much or two little calcium or protein..or if you don't clean there cage.. DUH

    pro's:

    they are cute.

they are nocturnal...so if you work during the day.or school..you don't have to feel bad.

they are the ultimate pouch friend..you can keep them in the pouch at work..and they will be just fine

they are awesome creatures to watch

    they are great companions

    they are very playful

    they are AWESOME

    con's

you have to have a lot of room for them.

they have a diet that cannot be bought at a petstore.

you can;t normally find them at petstores

they have to have at least an hour a day spent with them

  2. AWWW.... I want one!

  3. Generally speaking, sugar gliders are sugar gliders, it depends on their personallity to tell that they are mean.  They do smell bad, but there are odor controls! Most of them are loving, only a few mean, but hey, it goes the same with people!

    Pros

    They are cute

    Most are loving

    easy-ish to take care of

    fun!

    Cons

    smell

    some may be mean
