I'm thinking of bringing back my LCD that I bought while I've been here and I was wondering if anyone else has had any problems or success with this same idea. Thanks!

  1. Well.....I think it'll work..^^

Korean made stuff are quite durable and nice..^^

    I've never done it...so....^^

    Sorry./////

You'll have to pay alot tho!

  2. Don't waste your money unless its a US model. Different  tuner and power supply You don't want to buy a converter box for your LCD.

  3. NO....those TVs MIGHT BE DVB reception  only,  and our ATSC signal will not be picked up, processed by ANY DVB TV set....

Now...if you go to the base's PX...and they are selling TV sets, THEN you might be buying an ATSC TV set....

ASK THEM WHAT THEY SELL...and the Specifications page on any instruction booklet will provide you with the TUNING specs....that's where they tell you whether its ATSC or DVB...

Now that I've covered all the bases, I cannot tell you straight up if your transmissions  were the local TV stations or the Local US base stations or Satellite ONLY....

I don't know HOW you got your signals, so it's IMPORTANT to get your SPECIFICATIONS from your instruction booklet and TRUST that one "Page of TRUTH" !

And if it's a DVB TV set, sell it before returning....

Good luck finding your instruction booklet...the web is a great backup for Model and Specification searches....
